Machine Operator – Printing (2nd Line)

About the role

Join Huhtamaki, a global provider of sustainable packaging solutions, as a Machine Operator on the second printing line. You will help protect food, people and the planet by ensuring safe, high‑quality printed packaging is produced efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in machine setup, job changeovers and cylinder mounting.
• Arrange raw materials according to job specifications.
• Monitor machine parameters such as speed, tension, register and drying conditions.
• Maintain smooth machine operation to meet planned production output.
• Check print quality, colour matching, registration and detect defects during production.
• Conduct routine quality inspections and report abnormalities immediately.
• Record production data, wastage, downtime and quality check results accurately.
• Handle reels safely using approved material‑handling equipment and follow all safety procedures, PPE and lockout/tagout practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years experience operating similar printing machines.
• Diploma in Printing Technology.
• Commitment to safety, cleanliness (5S) and continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen.

Required skills

• Machine setup and cylinder mounting.
• Monitoring of machine parameters (speed, tension, register, drying).
• Print quality inspection and colour matching.
• Routine quality and production data recording.
• Safe operation of material‑handling equipment and lockout/tagout procedures.
