Machine Operator – Basic (Manufacturing)

About the role

Essity is seeking an experienced Basic Machine Operator to join its manufacturing plant in Ponda, Goa. You will work on production lines that manufacture medical device products, ensuring machines run smoothly and meet quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machines and ancillary equipment such as printers.
• Set‑up, adjust, and perform tool changeovers on machines.
• Ensure material and resource availability for uninterrupted operation.
• Conduct quality checks against product specifications and reject non‑conforming items.
• Complete required documentation, including BMRs, in‑process inspection reports, and failure logs.
• Handle rework of quarantined materials and resolve process failures during the shift.
• Support investigations for CAPA, complaints, or deviations.
• Maintain Good Hygiene Practice (GHP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.

Required profile

• High School diploma plus ITI or diploma in mechanical/electrical engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in a shift team and communicate effectively with previous and next shifts.
