Machine Assistant – Manufacturing (Medical Devices)

About the role

Essity is looking for a Machine Assistant to support the production of medical‑device components at its manufacturing plant in Ponda, Goa. The role involves operating, setting up and monitoring machines and ancillary equipment while following standard operating procedures, quality specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machines, printers and palletizers efficiently.
• Set‑up equipment, perform tool changeovers and ensure material availability for uninterrupted runs.
• Conduct regular quality checks against product specifications and reject non‑conforming items.
• Complete required documentation such as batch manufacturing records, in‑process inspection reports and failure logs.
• Participate in rework of quarantined material and ensure its clearance within the shift.
• Support troubleshooting of equipment and process failures, and assist investigations for CAPA or complaints.
• Maintain Good Hygiene Practice (GHP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
• Communicate shift hand‑over information to previous and next teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating production machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in a shift‑based team and follow detailed SOPs.
• Strong attention to quality and safety standards.
