Logistics Planning Engineer

About the role

Tata Technologies is seeking a Logistics Planning Engineer to lead plant logistics projects for global automotive OEMs. The role involves designing end‑to‑end material flow solutions, optimizing logistics layouts, and ensuring seamless inbound, in‑plant, and outbound operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise logistics concepts covering inbound, in‑plant and outbound material flows.
• Plan and validate material flow layouts, warehouse concepts, supermarkets and line‑feeding strategies such as kitting, sequencing and bulk supply.
• Execute greenfield and brownfield logistics projects, managing budgets, schedules and cross‑functional teams.
• Provide technical and commercial guidance to project teams and ensure delivery of project milestones.
• Apply lean logistics principles (FIFO, Kanban, supermarket) to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

Required profile

• Diploma, B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Automotive or Design.
• 2‑10 years of experience in logistics planning, preferably with global automotive clients.
• Hands‑on experience with inbound, in‑house and outbound logistics, yard management and returnable packaging.
