Logistics Coordinator

About the role

Maxima Apparel Corp is seeking a detail‑oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage the destination‑side execution of inbound global shipments and U.S. domestic moves. Reporting to the Director of Global Logistics, you will ensure freight clears customs, moves inland efficiently, and arrives on time at distribution centers and customer locations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound international and U.S. domestic shipments from origin hand‑off through proof of delivery.
• Monitor in‑transit status, triage exceptions, and escalate unresolved issues within service windows.
• Partner with customs brokers to clear freight, review and approve shipping documents (HAWB/AWB, commercial invoice, packing list) and issue weekly customs hold reports.
• Arrange U.S. domestic trucking—including port drayage, transload, FTL, LTL, and final‑mile moves—and schedule pickups and deliveries with warehouses and customers.
• Serve as the daily contact for customs brokers, truckload and parcel carriers, conducting root‑cause analysis of service failures.
• Collaborate with origin coordinators, sales, customer service, and DC inbound teams to align documentation, ETA, and receiving readiness.
• Provide operational coverage for the Logistics Analyst during planned absences.

Required profile

• Hands‑on, detail‑oriented professional with experience in inbound shipment coordination.
• Strong understanding of customs clearance processes and documentation requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments, monitor status, and resolve exceptions quickly.
• Effective communicator comfortable working with cross‑functional teams and external service providers.
• Proactive problem‑solver who can escalate issues appropriately and maintain service standards.
