Litigation Attorney/Advocate – Chennai

About the role

Khurana and Khurana (K&K) is seeking a Litigation Attorney/Advocate to join its Chennai office. The role focuses on arguing civil litigation matters across tribunals and district/high courts, with a preference for experience in intellectual property disputes, and on actively expanding the firm’s litigation practice in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage all Chennai‑based civil litigation matters before High Courts and specialised tribunals such as NCLT, NGT, NCDRC and NBA.
• Prepare and present core arguments before various benches and review drafts prepared by Associates and Senior Associates.
• Develop and nurture business‑development initiatives to grow the litigation practice locally.
• Collaborate with the team while maintaining the ability to work autonomously on complex cases.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in civil litigation, preferably with exposure to IP litigation.
• Strong practical knowledge of the Civil Procedure Code (CPC) and procedural rules of relevant forums and tribunals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to engage in business‑development activities without ego or lingering expectations from previous roles.
