Linux System & Design Management Administrator

About the role

Analog Devices is seeking an experienced Linux System and Design Management Administrator to join its global Engineering‑IT organization. The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing Linux‑based infrastructure that supports semiconductor design tools and services.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu in physical, virtual and AWS environments.
• Perform system monitoring, patching, troubleshooting, performance tuning and root‑cause analysis.
• Manage Perforce (P4/Methodics) hosting infrastructure, including performance monitoring and tuning.
• Administer core services such as DNS, LDAP, NFS, and web/application servers.
• Implement security best practices, system hardening, vulnerability remediation and support audit/compliance activities.
• Develop automation scripts and support DevOps/configuration‑management initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, network, security, cloud and application teams to provide technical support and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of Linux system administration experience in large enterprises.
• 2–3 years managing design‑management infrastructure (Perforce or similar).
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V or equivalents) and AWS.

Required skills

• Linux OS administration (RHEL, Ubuntu).
• Perforce/P4 or Methodics administration.
• Virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V) and cloud (AWS) environments.
• Scripting in Shell and Python.
• Core services: DNS, LDAP, NFS, web/application servers.
• System security, hardening, firewall management and compliance.
• Automation and configuration‑management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
