Linux System Administrator – IT Infrastructure & Operations

About the role

Analog Devices is seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator to join its global Engineering‑IT organization. The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing Linux‑based infrastructure that supports critical semiconductor design applications.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu systems in physical, virtual, and AWS environments.
• Perform system monitoring, patching, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root‑cause analysis.
• Manage core services such as DNS, LDAP, NFS, email, printing, and web/application servers.
• Administer HPC clusters, job‑scheduling platforms, and engineering data‑management tools.
• Implement security hardening, vulnerability remediation, firewall management, and support audit/compliance activities.
• Develop automation scripts and support configuration‑management and DevOps initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, network, security, cloud, and application teams to provide technical support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 4+ years of Linux system administration experience in large enterprises.
• Hands‑on experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
