Linux Server Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Linux Server Administrator with 1–3 years of hands‑on experience to manage, monitor, and troubleshoot our Ubuntu‑based production environment. You will work closely with development and DevOps teams to ensure reliable, secure, and performant server operations.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Ubuntu/Linux servers.
• Perform daily system administration tasks: user and group management, permissions, services, packages, storage, and resource monitoring.
• Monitor server health (CPU, memory, disk, network) and respond to alerts.
• Manage SSH access, firewalls, and apply basic security hardening.
• Configure and maintain Nginx and Apache web servers, including reverse proxy setups.
• Handle DNS, TCP/IP, routing, and port management.
• Deploy and manage Docker containers, images, volumes, and networks.
• Perform basic Kubernetes administration: pods, deployments, services, namespaces, logs, and resource tuning.
• Analyze system and application logs to resolve issues.
• Maintain backups, storage, and disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Automate repetitive tasks with Bash scripts; basic Python knowledge is a plus.
• Support development and DevOps teams with server‑related queries.
• Document configurations, troubleshooting steps, and SOPs.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of Linux server administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of Ubuntu Linux and core system components.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and basic Kubernetes concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot server, networking, and application issues.
