Linux Administrator & DevSecOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Linux Administrator and DevSecOps Engineer to join Bosch Global Software Technologies in Bangalore. The role focuses on managing Linux systems, automating deployments, and ensuring the security and reliability of web applications.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Ubuntu Linux (22.x or higher) systems.
• Perform software installation, upgrades, deployment, and issue resolution for enterprise applications.
• Maintain and support web application servers hosted on Linux, including TLS/SSL configuration.
• Apply security patches, system updates, and vulnerability fixes across the Linux infrastructure.
• Define and implement standardized patch management processes.
• Develop and maintain automation solutions using Ansible for configuration, deployment, and patching.
• Create and maintain automation scripts with Bash or Python for operational tasks.
• Troubleshoot network outages and connectivity issues involving routers, switches, VLANs, DNS, firewalls, etc.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams for deployment and maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Ubuntu Linux (22.x or higher).
• Hands‑on expertise in Ansible automation.
• Proven ability to manage patching and system updates.
• Solid networking fundamentals and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience scripting in Bash and Python.
• Knowledge of TLS/SSL encryption for web servers.
