Legal Manager / Junior Counsel

About the role

The Legal Manager / Junior Counsel will lead secured litigation matters for the company, overseeing end‑to‑end SARFAESI proceedings, coordinating with external counsel, and ensuring accurate reporting in the Management Information System (MIS). The role requires close interaction with courts, stakeholders, and internal teams to protect the organization’s interests.

Key responsibilities

• Manage secured litigations and SARFAESI proceedings from initiation to resolution.
• Coordinate daily court appearances, update case status in MIS, and ensure timely publication of outcomes.
• Guide and supervise the legal team, fostering effective stakeholder communication.
• Draft and review compliance and legal documents related to banking, arbitration, IBC, negotiable instruments, and the Contract Act.
• Maintain accurate MIS records and generate regular reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Strong command of legal drafting and compliance documentation.
• Working knowledge of banking laws, SARFAESI Act, Arbitration, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), negotiable instruments, and the Contract Act.
• Excellent team leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
