Legal Manager – Corporate & Compliance

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Manager to join Danone’s Legal & Compliance function in India. The role will partner with top‑line business functions, providing legal advice and risk mitigation to support the company’s growth in the food and nutrition market.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze risks and opportunities under Indian food law, consumer protection, intellectual property, data protection, competition and anti‑corruption regulations.
• Lead the implementation of Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools, drafting, standardising and negotiating contracts across functions.
• Manage litigation matters by coordinating with external legal counsel.
• Conduct legal watch to stay abreast of emerging trends affecting the business unit.
• Drive IT simplification, digitisation and record‑keeping initiatives within the legal function and across the organisation.
• Implement data‑privacy policies and oversee digital projects with structured risk‑mitigation plans.
• Partner with key functions to provide advisory support, identify growth opportunities and ensure compliance with internal policies and SOPs.

Required profile

• LLB degree with 5–8 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the food, consumer goods or nutrition sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, think strategically and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with fluency in English.
