Legal Head for Real Estate

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Head to lead all legal matters related to our real‑estate portfolio in Odisha. The role involves overseeing land acquisition, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing litigation to protect the company’s interests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and vet legal documents for land acquisition, contracts, and transactional agreements.
• Ensure compliance with RERA, BMC, BDA and other applicable statutes.
• Act as subject‑matter expert on RERA regulations and manage customer RERA registrations.
• Represent the organization in court hearings, coordinate with external counsel, and oversee ongoing legal proceedings.
• Develop and execute litigation‑management strategies to mitigate risk.
• Build and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities such as RERA, BMC, and BDA.
• Provide legal guidance to cross‑functional teams and serve as the primary point of contact for all legal issues.
• Conduct training sessions to promote a compliant culture across the organization.

Required profile

• 15‑20 years of legal experience, preferably within the real‑estate sector.
• In‑depth knowledge of RERA, BMC, BDA regulations and land‑acquisition law.
• Proven track record in litigation management and court representation.
• Strong ability to liaise with government authorities and external counsel.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
