Legal Executive – Contract Management & Litigation

About the role

The Legal Executive will support the legal department in managing contracts, tracking agreements, and coordinating litigation matters. Based in Andheri, Mumbai, the role works a shift from 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM, five days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete contract lifecycle: draft routing, execution coordination, version control, and filing in the legal repository.
• Maintain a centralized contract repository, track key dates (renewals, expirations, obligations) and lead process‑improvement initiatives.
• Update and monitor an Excel tracker for NDAs and other legal agreements, sending reminders and ensuring proper filing.
• Update standard terms and conditions on sale and purchase orders generated from SAP, liaising with the SAP and legal teams.
• Maintain litigation logs, coordinate with external counsel, attend hearings when required, and provide internal updates.
• Onboard new law firms, verify documentation, and support vendor creation processes.
• Assist with invoice verification, approvals, and payment processing for local counsel.
• Maintain records of empanelled local counsels and update legal information in Diligent software.

Required profile

• Experience in contract management, legal administration, or related legal support functions.
• Familiarity with litigation tracking and law‑firm coordination.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting.
• Working knowledge of SAP for order processing.
• Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools.
• Familiarity with Diligent software for corporate secretarial tasks.
