Legal Counsel – Contracts & Compliance

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Counsel specialized in contracts and compliance to join our fast‑growing team in Mumbai. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, providing practical legal solutions that balance risk mitigation with business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate buy‑side and sell‑side agreements, including MSAs, NDAs, SaaS, vendor and customer contracts.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Indian laws, regulations and internal policies.
• Support real‑estate transactions, lease agreements and related documentation.
• Coordinate with external counsel, assist in dispute resolution and manage legal filings.
• Provide proactive legal advisory and identify risk‑mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• LLB / BA LLB (mandatory); LLM or CS is a plus.
• 4–5 years of experience in corporate or in‑house legal roles.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Expertise in contract drafting and negotiation.
• Knowledge of Indian corporate and contract law.
• Exposure to real‑estate legal matters.
• Familiarity with data‑privacy regulations.
• Experience working with law firms, preferably in IT/services or startup environments.
