Legal Counsel – Commercial Law

About the role

Siemens Limited is seeking a Legal Counsel specialized in Commercial Law to join its Mobility business in India. Based at the Kalwa location in Navi Mumbai, you will act as a trusted legal partner, providing strategic and commercially focused advice to support the company’s rail and metro solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and manage commercial contracts, ensuring strong risk assessment and providing bid support.
• Partner with contract managers and business teams on contract execution, claims handling, and dispute mitigation.
• Advise on intellectual property, antitrust, ESG, and broader regulatory matters.
• Handle disputes and litigation, manage external counsel, and lead stakeholder engagement and training initiatives.

Required profile

• Fully qualified lawyer with a strong academic background and an Indian legal qualification.
• Approximately 4–7 years of post‑qualification experience in relevant practice areas, gained in a leading law firm and/or an in‑house legal function.

Required skills

• Expertise in contract drafting and negotiation.
• Strong commercial judgment and risk assessment capabilities.
• Experience advising on compliance, IP, antitrust, and ESG matters.
• Proven ability to manage disputes, litigation, and external counsel.
• Effective stakeholder engagement across diverse cultures and geographies.
