Legal Analysis and Feature Writer

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Legal Analysis and Feature Writer to support our human‑rights programmes. The role combines legal research, content creation, and advocacy communication to highlight critical human‑rights issues.

Key responsibilities

• Research, write and edit articles, analyses, and feature pieces on human‑rights and social‑justice topics.
• Investigate and interview stakeholders, track legal cases, and analyse court judgments.
• Monitor misinformation, hate content and contribute to our Hate Tracker analysis series.
• Prepare factual briefs, fact‑sheets and “In Facts” segments that present issues with data, legal developments and policy decisions.
• Produce creative content for programmes such as Peace Building, HateWatch, Citizenship, Legal Interventions and Forest Rights.

Required profile

• Law graduates, lawyers or legal researchers with a strong interest in human rights.
• Journalism degree or diploma is preferred.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Hindi and Marathi is an advantage.
