Leather Technician – Quality & Process Specialist

About the role

The Leather Technician will join the production team in Jalandhar, overseeing the technical aspects of leather processing and quality control. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures that tanning, dyeing and finishing operations meet the company’s standards for durability, safety and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control tanning, dyeing and finishing processes according to defined parameters.
• Conduct routine inspections of raw hides and finished leather, recording measurements and test results.
• Maintain detailed process and quality records, ensuring traceability.
• Collaborate with production, procurement and R&D teams to optimise material usage and workflow efficiency.
• Troubleshoot processing issues that affect product quality or operational efficiency.
• Support continuous‑improvement projects and contribute technical input for new product development.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in leather technology, materials science, chemistry or a related field.
• Prior experience in a leather processing unit or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical specifications.
• Good written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings.
