Lead PLC - Programmer

About the role

The Lead PLC Programmer will drive automation projects across our automotive electronics production lines. You will be responsible for PLC and LabVIEW development, vision system integration, MES support, and ABB robot operations while ensuring high equipment availability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, troubleshoot and modify PLC programs on Omron, Keyence, Mitsubishi and Siemens platforms.
• Create advanced LabVIEW applications, including graphical programming, RT modules, DAQ interfacing and OPC communication.
• Program and maintain industrial vision systems using Keyence and Cognex cameras.
• Support MES connectivity, data capture, digital documentation and basic robot teaching using FlexPendant.
• Attend machine breakdowns, perform root‑cause analysis and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
• Manage spare parts inventory, coordinate with suppliers and track maintenance budgets.

Required profile

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in machine maintenance and automation, preferably in automotive or precision manufacturing.
• Proven ability to lead troubleshooting and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required skills

• PLC programming (Omron, Keyence, Mitsubishi, Siemens) and knowledge of servo drives and motors.
• LabVIEW development (VIs, Sub‑VIs, RT modules, NI‑MAX, DAQ hardware, RS232/RS485/Modbus‑TCP, OPC).
• Vision system integration (Keyence, Cognex) and data logging.
• MES integration, digital documentation and ABB robot programming (FlexPendant).
• Spare‑parts and vendor management, preventive maintenance planning.
• Familiarity with resistance welding, crimping and molding processes (preferred).
