Lead Hardware Engineer

About the role

Bosch Global Software Technologies is seeking a Lead Hardware Engineer to drive ECU hardware development for automotive applications. You will lead the full lifecycle from concept definition through design, testing and documentation, ensuring compliance with functional safety and EMC standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse requirements and define hardware concepts for automotive ECUs.
• Design and develop modules/ECUs, including worst‑case calculations and simulations.
• Create schematics, bill of materials (BOM) and coordinate layout development.
• Manage sample development with the plant and prepare comprehensive test plans.
• Conduct ECU testing, EMC test planning and coordination.
• Maintain project documentation, DFMEA and functional safety coordination according to defined processes.

Required profile

• B.E. degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 6–9 years of experience in automotive hardware development.
• Strong understanding of ECU design, functional safety (ISO 26262) and EMC requirements.
