Lead Engineer – Vibration

About the role

The Lead Engineer – Vibration / HALT will head the environmental testing laboratory, focusing on vibration and HALT/HASS programs. You will ensure compliance with accreditation standards while delivering high‑quality test services to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain ISO/IEC 17025 and NABL accreditation compliance, preparing SOPs, test methods, calibration records and measurement uncertainty evaluations.
• Lead internal and external audits, proficiency testing, and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of lab equipment, coordinate vendor upgrades and AMC support.
• Engage with customers on technical requirements, provide proposal inputs and deliver accurate test reports.
• Mentor engineers and technicians, drive capability development and enforce safety practices.
• Plan and execute vibration testing (sine, random, shock, transportation simulation) and HALT/HASS programs, develop test procedures and work instructions.
• Interpret IEC, MIL, ASTM, ISO and customer specifications, select instrumentation, design fixtures and conduct failure analysis.
• Manage workload, manpower and testing schedules to maximize equipment utilization.
