Lead Engineer – Civil HVDC/Substations

About the role

ASSYSTEM is seeking a senior civil engineer to lead the design and execution of high‑voltage direct current (HVDC) and substation projects. The role involves overseeing structural and civil works from concept through construction support, ensuring compliance with international and Indian codes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execution of AIS/GIS substations, HVDC projects, and associated buildings.
• Develop RCC and structural steel designs, including foundation and equipment support structures.
• Perform structural analysis and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering inputs.
• Manage engineering deliverables from concept design to construction support.

Required profile

• 12–15 years of civil engineering experience in power transmission and substation projects.
• Proven leadership and client‑facing experience.
• Familiarity with relevant IS and international codes.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and oversee EPC contracts.

Required skills

• Proficiency in STAAD.Pro and ETABS.
• Strong structural analysis and foundation design capabilities.
• Experience with RCC and structural steel design.
• Knowledge of control/GIS building design and equipment support structures.
