Lead Electrical MEP Design Engineer

About the role

Assystem is seeking a Lead Electrical MEP Design Engineer to head the detailed design team for large‑scale multidisciplinary infrastructure projects in Gurgaon. The role focuses on hands‑on detailed engineering and delivery of complete electrical design packages.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Electrical MEP Detailed Design team across airport, metro, commercial and industrial projects.
• Prepare and review detailed electrical designs, including single line diagrams, power distribution, lighting layouts, earthing and lightning protection, cable routing, load calculations and panel schedules.
• Develop complete engineering deliverables such as BOQ/BOM, technical specifications and equipment layouts.
• Coordinate with architecture, structural, HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, ELV and other disciplines to ensure integrated solutions.
• Ensure timely delivery of design packages while maintaining compliance with NBC, IS, IEC, IEEE, NEC and other relevant standards.
• Mentor junior Electrical Design Engineers and CAD/BIM teams, and participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings.

Required profile

• B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering with 15–18 years of exclusive detailed design experience.
• Proven track record of leading Electrical/MEP design teams in engineering consultancy or EPC environments.
• Strong multidisciplinary coordination experience on airports, metros, commercial, industrial or power plant projects.
• In‑depth knowledge of national and international electrical design codes and standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with Revit MEP.
• Knowledge of Navisworks.
• Familiarity with ETAP.
• Use of Dialux/Dialux Evo.
• Preferred experience with EPLAN.
• MS Office Suite.
