Lead Design – Creative Team Lead

About the role

The Lead Design will head the communication design team within Ather’s Creative department, shaping the visual identity of the brand across all consumer touchpoints. This senior position combines strategic brand stewardship with hands‑on creative direction to deliver high‑impact multi‑channel campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and maintain the long‑term brand design strategy and visual roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Develop and continuously update a comprehensive corporate Brand Book to ensure visual consistency.
• Lead, mentor and guide the communication design team in delivering multi‑channel marketing campaigns and ad‑hoc creative requests.
• Assess design team capacity, plan quarterly resources and allocate bandwidth across business streams.
• Onboard, evaluate and manage external design partners, agencies and vendors to meet extended bandwidth needs.
• Recruit and hire diverse creative talent to scale design capabilities.
• Collaborate with functional heads and cross‑functional teams to solve complex business challenges through design.
• Work with Legal, Finance and IT/IS teams to establish compliant vendor processes and manage software licensing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communication Design, Graphic Design, Fine Arts or a related field.
• 8–12 years of experience in communication design, branding or a creative agency environment, with proven team‑management experience.
• Experience managing external design partners, production houses and creative agencies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience using Figma for UI/UX and design collaboration.
• Knowledge of motion design and video‑editing principles for digital campaigns.
• Understanding of print production processes, typography and environmental branding.
