Lead Cashier

About the role

NES Hospitality is seeking a Lead Cashier to oversee front‑counter operations at its Bengaluru restaurant. This full‑time, on‑site position involves managing cash and digital payments, ensuring accurate billing, and delivering a smooth guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer orders, handle cash and digital payments, and issue receipts.
• Balance the cash register and generate daily sales reports.
• Supervise cashier staff, delegate tasks, and coach team members on service standards.
• Coordinate with kitchen and serving staff to maintain efficient workflow.
• Monitor POS systems, keep the billing area clean and organized.
• Respond to guest inquiries, support reservation and takeaway processes.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or accounting training is a plus.
• Prior experience as a cashier or front‑of‑house staff in hospitality or food service.
• Experience supervising small teams, with strong delegation and coaching abilities.
• Excellent customer service, conflict‑resolution, and communication skills.
• Reliability, integrity, and consistency in handling funds and sensitive information.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Required skills
