Lead Arborist

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Arborist to perform advanced arboricultural work, ensuring the health and safety of trees while delivering high‑quality service to clients. The role involves climbing, pruning, and removing trees of all sizes using modern techniques and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform modern arboricultural practices at a high level.
• Climb and work safely in tree canopies of any size using SRS, MRS, and traditional methods.
• Execute spur‑assisted hazard tree removal and prune trees to ISA standards.
• Operate aerial lifts, static and dynamic cabling, and bracing systems with precision.
• Conduct technical rigging for large limb and tree removal, including aerial rescues.
• Install and maintain cabling and bracing systems.
• Demonstrate safe work practices and proper PPE usage.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and communicate clearly with clients.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of industry experience.
• Post‑secondary education related to arboriculture.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract.
• Working at Heights, WHMIS and First Aid certifications.
• ISA Certified Arborist or Ontario Certified Arborist (preferred).
• Utility Arborist 444A/444B, IHSA Line Clearing Safety, and 0‑8 tonne crane competency (assets).
