Layout & Sales Support Engineer – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Schindler India is seeking an AM/DM – Layout & Sales Support professional to develop and finalise layout drawings for elevators, escalators and moving walks in infrastructure projects such as metro stations, airports and railway facilities. The role combines technical design with sales support for tender submissions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate General Arrangement (GA), Good for Construction (GFC) and as‑built layout drawings based on project specifications and site conditions.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers and civil contractors to verify shaft dimensions, pit depths, overhead clearances and load points.
• Ensure all drawings comply with EN 115, IS 4648, NBC, RDSO and customer tender requirements.
• Review tender, architectural and structural documents to extract data required for layout preparation.
• Submit layout drawings for customer/consultant approval and manage revision cycles until final sign‑off.
• Study customer‑related drawings in tenders and cross‑check against specifications.
• Produce all layout drawings using AutoCAD.

Required profile

• Graduation in Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical or Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech); postgraduate degree is a plus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM tools.
• Technical knowledge of elevators and escalators.
• Experience in design and layout preparation for infrastructure projects.
