Lathe Machine Turner / Conventional Lathe Operator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Lathe Machine Turner to operate conventional lathes in our Ahmedabad facility. The role focuses on machining engineering plastic rods, sheets, blocks, and components according to customer specifications and engineering drawings.

Key responsibilities

• Operate conventional lathe machines safely and efficiently.
• Perform turning, facing, boring, drilling, and threading operations.
• Machine a variety of engineering plastics such as Nylon, PP, POM/Delrin, HDPE, PTFE, and Cast Nylon.
• Read and interpret basic engineering drawings and dimensions.
• Measure parts accurately using vernier calipers, micrometers, and other instruments.
• Maintain required dimensions, surface finish, and inspect finished components for accuracy.
• Minimize material waste while meeting productivity targets.
• Keep the work area clean and adhere to safety standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a lathe machine turner, preferably with plastic materials.
• Ability to understand dimensions and engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to accuracy and quality.
• Responsible, punctual, and team‑oriented.
