Laboratory IT Support Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Laboratory IT Support Analyst to join the Clinical Laboratories at Golden Jubilee National Hospital. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for internal users, providing support for laboratory information systems and related technology.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for laboratory systems, handling enquiries and assistance requests from internal staff.
• Maintain, develop, test and implement IT solutions that support laboratory operations.
• Collaborate with clinical order communication and automation teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Document incidents, resolutions and contribute to continuous improvement of support processes.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in software testing and quality assurance within an IT environment.
• Ability to develop technical solutions independently and solve problems in a logical, structured manner.
• Knowledge of laboratory automation and clinical order communication systems is advantageous.
• Experience working with primary‑care IT services is a plus.
