L1 Technical Support Engineer – Networking Hardware

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Level‑1 Technical Support Engineer to provide first‑line assistance for networking hardware in our Haridwar office. The role is ideal for recent graduates or candidates with up to 1.5 years of experience who want to develop their skills in a fast‑paced IT environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑level support for networking and hardware issues, handling tickets within defined SLA timelines.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot routers, switches, wireless access points and firewalls.
• Monitor network performance, report anomalies and assist senior engineers with escalations.
• Diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, printer and peripheral hardware problems.
• Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions and device configurations.
• Support routine network maintenance, upgrades and preventive activities.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics or related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; up to 1.5 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Networking certifications such as CCNA, N+ are a plus.
• Good communication and problem‑solving abilities, with the capacity to work independently and in a team.

Required skills

• Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, DNS and DHCP.
• Hands‑on knowledge of routers, switches, wireless access points and cabling.
• Basic troubleshooting of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and network performance monitoring tools.
