Kitchen Stewarding Manager – Mumbai

About the role

The Kitchen Stewarding Manager will lead the stewarding team to ensure efficient, hygienic and safe kitchen operations in a fast‑paced food service environment. You will coordinate cleaning activities, support banquet services and work closely with chefs and kitchen staff.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and assist stewards to optimise clean‑up processes.
• Monitor and document water temperature and chemical levels for cleaning.
• Assist with banquet plate‑ups and support buffet stock management.
• Provide cooks with required items and perform various kitchen assistance tasks.
• Return cleaned items to their proper locations and maintain equipment such as dishwashers, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations and trash compactors.
• Support hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching of stewarding staff.
• Enforce safety, security and company policies; report incidents and complete required certifications.
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality and protection of company assets.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs and communicate professionally.
• Uphold quality standards and collaborate with team members to achieve common goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in kitchen stewarding or related hospitality operations.
• Strong leadership and team‑coaching abilities.
• Good understanding of hygiene, safety and sanitation regulations.
• Physical ability to perform repetitive bending, lifting and moving on varied surfaces.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Operation and maintenance of commercial dishwashing and cleaning equipment.
