Key Account Manager – Hospital Care

About the role

The Key Account Manager will lead the development and execution of strategic account plans for major corporate hospitals and institutions. You will drive business growth through value‑based selling, nurture relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure customer satisfaction while meeting sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic account plans for assigned hospitals and corporate accounts.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets within the territory.
• Identify new hospital opportunities, expand existing business and manage large corporate accounts.
• Build and maintain relationships with KOLs, hospital administrators, purchase teams, pharmacists, microbiologists, intensivists, infectious disease specialists and other stakeholders.
• Monitor market dynamics, competitor activities and customer needs to increase product adoption.
• Conduct regular account reviews, forecast sales, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and update the Must‑See List (MSL) regularly.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Supply Chain, Commercial Excellence, Finance and other internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Analyze account performance, track KPIs and support commercial excellence with dashboards and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Science (Pharmacy, Life Sciences or equivalent); MBA preferred.
• Strong understanding of institutional selling and hospital business.
• Knowledge of anti‑infective, critical care and hospital product portfolios is a plus.
• Minimum 4 + years of successful experience in hospital pharmaceutical sales.
• Proven track record managing corporate hospitals and institutional key accounts, preferably with high‑end antibiotics.
