Key Account Manager – FMCG Modern Trade

About the role

Lotus Dairy Products Private Limited is seeking a proactive Key Account Manager to expand the reach of its dairy portfolio across modern trade channels. The role focuses on driving sales growth, launching new products, and building strong relationships with key retail partners in assigned territories.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate, launch and develop business for all company products in modern trade across assigned geographies.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in modern trade to achieve sales targets.
• Analyze market trends, identify opportunities and devise actionable plans to capture untapped potential.
• Lead collaboration with customers for successful new product launches, ensuring effective planning, execution and visibility.
• Negotiate and manage annual contractual agreements and joint business plans.
• Plan and execute shopper marketing campaigns and promotional activities to increase brand visibility and sales.
• Design and execute quarterly and annual consumer activation calendars for brick‑and‑mortar stores.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations related to order fulfilment, fill rates, stock ageing, and timely receipt of payments.
• Analyze sales data, track performance metrics and derive insights to optimise sales strategies.
• Forecast demand and coordinate stock planning with supply‑chain teams to prevent stock‑outs or overstock situations.
• Monitor competition activities, pricing, trade promotions and new launches, providing timely feedback to management.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (design, sales, creative, logistics, marketing) to ensure high‑quality client deliverables.
• Propose new products based on data analysis and track post‑launch performance.

Required profile

• MBA with a specialization in Sales and Marketing from a recognised institute.
• 5–8 years of experience in the FMCG sector handling national key accounts.
• Proven track record as a Key Account Manager or Category Manager in FMCG/retail formats.
