Key Account Manager – Automotive OEM

About the role

Valeo is seeking a senior Key Account Manager to lead the relationship with automotive OEM customers. You will be responsible for ensuring competitive, compliant offers that meet customer expectations while driving growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and fully understand customer requirements and communicate them to project teams.
• Define sales price objectives based on market and competitor analysis and implement pricing strategy.
• Collaborate with KAMs in other regions to maintain global pricing consistency.
• Prepare and submit competitive technical and economic quotations within deadlines.
• Participate in project teams to advocate the customer’s viewpoint on quality, cost, and delivery.
• Educate customers on new technologies, products, and solutions.
• Align customer messaging with Project Management and drive negotiations during business acquisition.
• Provide commercial insights, guide customers toward recommended actions, and keep internal teams informed of negotiation status.
• Review and negotiate contracts, nominations, and amendments in line with group policies.
• Prepare budgets, manage selling prices, and monitor order intake, turnover, and overdue items.

Required profile

• Proven experience in key account management within the automotive OEM sector.
• Strong understanding of pricing strategies, market dynamics, and competitive positioning.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence internal stakeholders.
• Responsibility for turnover growth and budget management.
