Junior Tax Analyst – Hybrid (Mumbai)

About the role
Citi is seeking a motivated Junior Tax Analyst to join its centralized Tax Information Reporting function in Mumbai. The role offers hybrid work, extensive on‑the‑job training, and exposure to senior leaders while supporting tax compliance for multiple business lines.
Key responsibilities
- Work on the EMEA shift supporting the FRSS Service Delivery model.
- Migrate tax reporting processes from various sub‑units into FRSS, including training, documentation, and gap analysis.
- Review, validate, and process W‑8 and W‑9 forms in line with IRS Chapter 3, Chapter 61, FATCA, and CRS regulations.
- Support audits by the IRS, internal audit, and other special audits.
- Participate in self‑assessment testing, MCA, SOX controls, and ensure tight process controls.
- Contribute to technology projects from a technical tax perspective.
Required profile
- Recent graduate or early‑career professional with a strong interest in tax compliance.
- Ability to work the EMEA shift and collaborate with global stakeholders.
- Quick learner capable of developing product knowledge for a specific business vertical.
Required skills
- Knowledge of IRS regulations, FATCA, and CRS.
- Experience processing W‑8 and W‑9 tax forms.
- Understanding of tax reporting and compliance controls.
