Junior Software Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Software Developer to join Xylem’s global technology team. You will work on cutting‑edge water‑related solutions, helping to integrate AI models into computer‑vision systems that support our sustainable impact mission.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing and developing C++ applications for 2D/3D image processing.
• Support integration of AI/ML models into computer‑vision pipelines.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on object detection, pattern recognition, and performance optimisation.
• Debug, profile, and optimise code for scalability.
• Write clear, maintainable code and contribute to technical documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and team meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3‑5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and good communication skills.
• Passion for learning new technologies and working in a collaborative environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C++.
• Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts, especially computer vision.
• Experience with OpenCV or similar image‑processing libraries.
• Familiarity with deep‑learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX.
• Knowledge of CUDA and PCL is a plus.
• Version control using Git.
