Junior Production Engineer (RGU)

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Production Engineer (RGU) to lead the analysis and improvement of production and assembly line performance. The role focuses on optimizing efficiency, material, manpower and machine utilization, while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a shift team of engineers to meet production targets across production, assembly and related processes.
• Monitor and improve manufacturing KPIs such as efficiency, breakdowns, loss elimination and quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards and maintain proper documentation.
• Plan operations to maximize utilization of machines, equipment and manpower.
• Oversee assembly, welding and machining activities, including tool and spare procurement.
• Track productivity, update management and record operations in Movex.
• Implement QET projects, IMS system in welding, and Q Nova workflows for assembly.
• Identify non‑conforming products, drive corrective and preventive actions, and ensure safe equipment operation.
• Collaborate with production planning, purchasing, maintenance, design and quality teams.
• Participate in daily production and NC review meetings and provide training to sub‑ordinates.

Required profile

• Diploma, B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in heavy engineering, machine shop or thread‑rolling operations.
• Strong understanding of production processes, safety and quality management.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Experience with assembly, welding and machining operations.
• Familiarity with Movex ERP system.
• Ability to plan and optimize machine, equipment and manpower utilization.
