Junior Pharmacist

About the role

The Junior Pharmacist will join the pharmacy team at Apoorva Diagnostic & Healthcare in Bengaluru, working full‑time on‑site. You will support safe medication dispensing, maintain accurate records, and assist clinicians with drug‑related information.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense medications according to prescriptions, verify dosages and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain patient and medication records, manage inventory, check expiry dates and organize pharmacy shelves.
• Provide medication counseling, explain dosage instructions and possible side effects to patients.
• Support clinicians by supplying information on drug interactions and therapeutic protocols.
• Participate in quality‑assurance activities, internal audits, and pharmacy safety standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy with valid registration to the appropriate pharmacy council.
• Knowledge of prescription processing, dosage calculations and basic pharmacology.
• Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations, inventory management and record‑keeping.
• Ability to work rotating shifts in a fast‑paced environment and learn from senior staff.
• Prior internship or experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy is an advantage.

Required skills

• Use of pharmacy or hospital information systems for data entry and reporting.
• Basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office).
• Inventory management and stock control.
