Junior Engineer – Operations & Maintenance (Copper Tube Manufacturing)

About the role

Join Hindalco’s pioneering Copper Tube Manufacturing unit in Baroda as a Junior/Assistant/Deputy Engineer focused on Operations & Maintenance. You will ensure smooth production of copper tubes and related downstream products while supporting the plant’s cost‑competitiveness goals.

Key responsibilities

• Operate casting, rolling, drawing & grooving, level winding, annealing furnace and finishing equipment.
• Monitor production flow, meet daily targets, detect abnormalities and minimise downtime.
• Maintain machine OEE by performing routine lubrication, cleaning and minor repairs.
• Conduct quality checks on intermediate and final products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Identify equipment faults, diagnose mechanical failures and implement corrective actions.
• Follow lockout/tagout and other safety procedures, wearing appropriate protective gear.
• Maintain accurate records of production output, maintenance activities and quality inspections.

Required profile

• Diploma in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Interest in metals manufacturing, preferably in copper or aluminium downstream processes.
• Ability to work in a plant environment and follow strict safety protocols.
