Junior Cybersecurity Operations Engineer

About the role

Join Tata Communications as a Junior Cybersecurity Operations Engineer, supporting perimeter security for a key customer. You will handle Level‑1 tickets, troubleshoot proxy and firewall devices, and contribute to incident response and service requests.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical troubleshooting on proxy/SSE solutions (Zscaler, Netskope, Prisma SASE) and firewalls (FortiGate, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco FTD).
• Implement project changes and resolve incidents on proxy platforms such as Z‑Scaler.
• Monitor and manage perimeter security infrastructure according to SLA, minimizing escalations.
• Perform vulnerability management and apply remediation actions.
• Investigate security incidents, document root cause and impact, and produce written reports with recommendations.
• Assist with security assessments, audits, and the development of overall IT security architecture.
• Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related IT field.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication skills with technical staff and management.
• Willingness to work flexible 24/7 shift patterns.
• Ability to follow defined processes and guidelines.
• High integrity and a strong work ethic.
