Junior Advocate – Real Estate (Bangalore)

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Advocate specialized in real estate law to strengthen our legal team in Bangalore. You will be responsible for overseeing title due diligence, drafting and reviewing a wide range of property agreements, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead title due diligence and prepare detailed title reports for land and property transactions.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and vet legal documents such as Sale Agreements, Sale Deeds, Lease Deeds, Joint Development Agreements, Development Agreements, Power of Attorney, MOUs, and other real‑estate contracts.
• Handle legal documentation for land acquisition, property purchases, leasing, and project development.
• Liaise with Sub‑Registrar Offices, BBMP/BDA/BMRDA, Revenue Department, and other statutory authorities for registrations, approvals, and compliance.
• Verify land records, encumbrance certificates, khata documents, mutation records, RTCs, survey records and other title‑related documents.
• Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks and ensure adherence to applicable real‑estate laws and regulations.
• Support and coordinate property disputes and litigation with external counsel when required.
• Maintain legal records and provide guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Travel to project sites and government offices as needed.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience as an Advocate with at least 5 years focused on real‑estate law.
• Proven track record handling land acquisitions, title due diligence, registrations, and property transactions.
• Fluency in Kannada (spoken and written) is mandatory.
• Enrolled with the Bar Council and eligible to practice.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and government offices.
