Junior Accountant – SAP S/4HANA (India)

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join Westernacher’s growing finance team in India. The role combines end‑to‑end accounting responsibilities with exposure to SAP S/4HANA and cross‑functional projects, offering a fast‑paced environment for a motivated professional.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, payments, collections and reconciliations.
• Post journal entries, maintain the General Ledger and perform periodic reconciliations.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, preparing accruals, adjustments and financial statements.
• Produce management reports, MIS and variance analysis for senior leadership.
• Execute day‑to‑day accounting transactions in SAP S/4HANA and resolve related issues.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations (GST, VAT, withholding tax) and internal controls such as SOX.
• Assist internal and external audits and drive continuous process improvements through documentation and collaboration.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in full‑cycle accounting, covering AP, AR, GL and month‑end close.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for coordination with global stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and support tax compliance.

Required skills

• SAP S/4HANA (or SAP ERP) for accounting transactions.
• Microsoft Excel – Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP and advanced formulas.
