Junior Accountant

About the role

RayaRaya Software Solutions is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to take ownership of its books from day one. You will work closely with senior leadership and the company’s Chartered Accountant, handling day‑to‑day accounting tasks and statutory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, record and reconcile all transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, process invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Drive month‑end and year‑end close activities, preparing financial statements.
• Handle statutory compliance including GST returns, TDS/TCS deduction, filing and reconciliation.
• Prepare management reports and keep documentation audit‑ready.
• Provide on‑site ERP accounting training to clients in and around Ahmedabad.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on accounting or finance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field; CA Inter, CMA or equivalent is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Indian statutory requirements (GST, TDS, TCS).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet monthly and statutory deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting/ERP software such as Tally or Zoho Books.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables.
• Solid understanding of double‑entry bookkeeping and bank/vendor reconciliation.
