Junior Accountant – GST & Tally Expertise

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Junior Accountant to support our finance team in Ahmedabad. The role involves handling day‑to‑day accounting entries, GST compliance, income‑tax filing and basic banking operations using Tally and Excel.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting entries in Tally or other accounting software.
• Prepare and update sales, purchase and expense registers.
• File GST returns (GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B) and perform GST reconciliation.
• Assist in preparation and filing of income‑tax returns.
• Execute bank reconciliation statements, manage cheque deposits and payments.
• Ensure proper documentation and record‑keeping of all financial transactions.
• Support senior accountant in month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Liaise with the Chartered Accountant for audits and compliance matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, GST, ITR and banking processes.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and maintain high accuracy.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Tally accounting software.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
