Junior Accountant (Goa)

About the role

Enigmasoft Technologies is looking for a Junior Accountant to manage and streamline its financial operations. The role focuses on handling payables, receivables, taxation, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with Indian regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee timely processing of vendor invoices, reconcile statements, and maintain vendor relationships.
• Generate client invoices, manage collections, reconcile payments, and handle credit control.
• Prepare and file statutory returns including GST, TDS, and corporate tax, and stay updated on tax law changes.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, reconcile accounts, and support internal audits.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Identify process improvements, implement best practices, and provide financial advice to other departments.
• Process payroll transactions in line with statutory requirements.

Required profile

• B.Com or equivalent degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 1 year of professional accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or large‑scale environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS and Indian tax regulations (GST, TDS, corporate tax).
• Experience with startups and knowledge of tax exemptions is a plus.
• Ability to identify discrepancies, solve issues, and ensure financial accuracy.
