Java Tech Lead – Lead Software Development

About the role

The Java Tech Lead will design and implement scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions for semiconductor equipment. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, the lead will translate business requirements into robust architectural designs and guide the development process.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into architectural designs.
• Code and develop new features following best‑practice software standards.
• Conduct technical reviews and mentor engineers throughout the development lifecycle.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and issues across the software development lifecycle.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies and frameworks for project needs.
• Lead the design and implementation of complex software components and systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of software product development experience with a B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science.
• Strong expertise in core Java, including streams, functional programming, and virtual threads.
• At least 5 years of experience with Spring Boot and related Spring features.
• 4+ years driving high‑level and low‑level design, code reviews, and clean‑code practices (SOLID, OOAD).
• 4+ years building and driving microservices or SOA‑based systems.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• Preferred: semiconductor domain knowledge, reactive programming, and agentic AI experience.
