Java Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a senior Java Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain robust APIs and cloud‑native components for our critical business processes. The role supports relocation to Germany or the Netherlands and works closely with DevOps and Agile teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑performance APIs using Java, JAX‑RS, Jersey and Spring Boot.
• Integrate services with Kafka, Elastic and Cassandra to ensure data persistence and smooth inter‑system communication.
• Collaborate with operations engineers to implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines and API deployments on OpenShift/Kubernetes.
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and deliver production‑ready software every two weeks.
• Implement monitoring and alerting solutions with Prometheus to ensure system observability.
• Automate deployment pipelines, functional and technical testing, and operational processes.
• Provide functional and technical support for applications in production.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of Java software engineering experience with a technical architecture mindset.
• Strong proficiency in Java, JAX‑RS, Jersey, Spring Boot, Spring Batch and Spring JPA.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms such as OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, Git and Maven.
• Deep knowledge of HTTP, REST APIs, mTLS and JSON.
• Hands‑on experience with NoSQL databases, especially Cassandra, and familiarity with Elastic and Kafka.
• Proficiency in writing unit and integration tests using JUnit and Karate Framework.
• Passion for open‑source technologies, good Linux and Docker skills, and excellent English communication.
