Java Fullstack Developer (Hybrid)

About the role

TransUnion is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join its Trusted Call Solutions team, working on high‑volume messaging, calling, identity and fraud‑prevention services. The position is hybrid, requiring on‑site presence at a TransUnion office at least two days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers and QA testers to design, develop and implement end‑to‑end solutions using Java, Spring, Cassandra and Kafka.
• Build robust, scalable server‑side applications and RESTful APIs with Spring Framework.
• Participate in architectural discussions and provide implementation‑focused input.
• Analyze and optimise application performance, identify bottlenecks and implement improvements.
• Support day‑to‑day escalated troubleshooting and contribute to technical specifications and estimates.
• Develop and test software within Agile practices, including code review, backlog refinement and sprint execution.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, unit testing, documentation and operational supportability.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience designing and developing Spring‑based Java services.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work effectively in a global, cross‑functional engineering environment.
• Familiarity with AWS or comparable cloud technology.
• Experience with object‑oriented development and microservices architecture.
• Strong Linux skills.
