Janitor – Facility Maintenance

About the role

The Janitor supports daily operations by keeping the facility clean, orderly, and well‑maintained. This position handles routine housekeeping, minor repairs, and basic maintenance of both interior and exterior areas of the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain interior and exterior spaces in a clean and orderly condition.
• Perform heavy cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, shampooing rugs, washing walls, and cleaning glass.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment; service and restock restrooms.
• Collect and separate trash and recyclables, and ensure proper disposal.
• Report major repair needs and order housekeeping supplies.
• Conduct routine maintenance on light fixtures and replace bulbs.
• Perform periodic insect and rodent control.
• Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies using hand trucks or manual effort.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of commercial housekeeping or building maintenance experience.
• Strong time‑management skills and ability to work independently.
• Reliable work ethic, punctuality, and dependable transportation.
• Basic math ability and capacity to read and follow English instructions.
• Commitment to a safe work environment and adherence to company policies.
