IT Systems Administrator - Linux Patch Management

About the role

We are seeking an IT Systems Administrator specialized in Linux patch management to deliver reliable update and security services to our European clients. The role focuses on automating the distribution and installation of security patches across server and workstation environments using Ansible.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, test and deploy security updates and patches for client Linux infrastructures.
• Develop and maintain Ansible Playbooks and related scripts to automate patching processes.
• Monitor patch compliance, generate status reports and coordinate system reboots when required.
• Work closely with other IT teams to streamline and improve patch management workflows.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Linux system administration and automated patch management.
• Strong understanding of IT security best practices and software update lifecycle.
• Analytical mindset with problem‑solving abilities to address update‑related issues.

Required skills

• Linux operating systems
• Ansible and Ansible Playbooks
• Scripting (e.g., Bash)
• IT security concepts
• Knowledge of ITSM tools (preferred)
• MSSQL Server patching experience (preferred)
